I purchased a home in Ocean View Cape May County, New Jersey that was built by Colonel Major Charles Gandy a physician and assistant surgeon general in the Spanish American War and who treated the first gunshot wound of that war. I have painstakingly restored this home and am very much interested in the history about this house and family not only because American History is very interesting to me but because I would like to get this property on the historic registries. It is truly a beautiful home and is worthy of preserving. Can you tell me more about Charles Gandy? Is there a Senator Gandy that I can contact? Please advise. Thank You, Email: Ron Soldano
